Ear shaped speaker, Performer, Viewer, Two Cameras, Two Projections.
The dancing piece was an interactive performance project that was located in an open studio. I explored the relationship between people and private spaces versus public spaces. Using a curtain, I separted the room into two distinct spaces and individual viewer would enter. I would immediately dance when an individual entered. Two cameras were inside where I was located. I projected this interior space onto the windows on the other side of the curtain. This allowed the audience to experience candid dance, and the body movement became an alternative communication of exhilaration and method of communication.
